Last year we completed phrase one of this project which was a loft conversion – you can see the work we did here.
And this year phase two begins which is a rear single story extension with a kitchen refit.

FINISHED PROJECT
The project is now finished!
- The whole downstairs has been opened up to create a very modern usable open plan space. We had to put in some steels across the kitchen diner to support the roof. The home owner has carefully zoned the space into four main areas: lounge, kitchen, dining, and childrens play area. The childrens play area opens onto the garden via french doors where we put in a new decking area the previous summer.
- To add light into the space we added a large roof light, down lights, and also some hanging pendants (which also help to zone the areas).
- Throughout the build we have incorporated as much hidden storage as possible; under stairs cupboards, eves cupboards upstairs, a larder cupboard, and also storage space in the kitchen island.
- Upstairs owing to a little addition to their family, we have put in a partition wall to create two smaller bedrooms, put a large dormer, and front facing window. The partition wall has been designed to be able to be removed in the future if the home owners want to enlarge the bedroom again.
