OVERVIEW

To create a stylish garden space with fencing for privacy, and to design a large tiered planter at the rear of the garden

BRIEF

  • new fence with slats to allow for light to pass through yet create privacy
  • build in a large feature planter at rear of garden
  • create an outdoor kitchen (with double fridges, and a Broil King BBQ grill)
  • add in large architectural plants/trees
  • build oak sleeper flower borders
  • use millboard (recycled plastic) decking

MID WAY THROUGH PROJECT

NEAR COMPLETION

  • The side of the house will be painted to match the front wall grey wall
  • Oak sleepers line the flower beds - these will be fully planted in due course
  • The patio is made from 20mm landscaping tiles which are cemented down. These are very heavy duty.
  • The big palms are from the Architectural Plant Co
  • The planters are clad in vertical planks to contrast the horizontal strip fence
  • Dining area
  • There will be a double fridge installed in this gap
  • This is the new outdoor kitchen
