OVERVIEW

We were asked to create a fabulous wrap around extension to this modest house and to help show off the home-owners art work.

  • create more bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs
  • build a feature steel box window seat for the vaulted ceiling master bedroom
  • create feature shelving to display large artworks
  • remodel the kitchen into a super sized open plan space
  • open the house onto the garden with large bi-fold doors
  • renovate existing rooms to match high spec of newly created rooms

MIDWAY THROUGH PROJECT

  • Before we added the wrap around extension the house stopped next to the porch wall!
  • Inside the porch we building in storage and spaces for art
  • The rear view shows the custom steel box to house the feature window seat
  • Part of the steel box protrudes outside and the other part sits inside the room.
  • Large b-fold doors will open up onto a beautiful garden

  • To maximise the space we have used oversized steels and clever engineering so there are no supporting columns.
  • This is going to be a big cupboard to house the new pressurised system.
  • The stairlift will be the next thing to go!
  • Upstairs the new extension creates two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a grand master bedroom with vaulted ceiling.

  • The master bedroom has a grand vaulted ceiling plus a feature shelf area to display artwork.
  • We love using bold colours and products that the clients choose. If you have a small space, then go big on design!
  • The master bedroom ensuite is taking shape.
  • We rescued as many tiles as possible when adding in the new roof extension.
  • In no time these tiles will weather very similarly to the older roof tiles.

  • in the loft we added some steel supports as this space could be converted in the future for an extra room
