Bracklesham Bay Seafront House Rennovation

  • Upstairs the shape of the room has been squared off and new sliding doors fitted.

OVERVIEW

We’ve just begun work on a seafront house in Bracklesham Bay. The place offers incredible views of the sea. Our job involves redesigning the layout, renovating the kitchen and bathrooms, freshening up the whole place with new decor, and adding a balcony facing the sea.

  • Install Howdens kitchen and utility room
  • Complete refurbishment throughout the property
  • Add in new shower room and bathroom by relocating internal wall
  • Install new cylinder boiler (previously no heating system)
  • Redesign upstairs alcove/windows, creating a flat front and install new sliding doors.
  • Build  a new balcony, including:
  • Oak woodwork (supplied by Oak Company)
  • Millboard composite decking on steel steps (supplied by client)
  • Glass balustrade
  • Build and installed steel steps
  • Construct an oak-enclosed shower under the stairs
  • Groundwork and patio

START OF PROJECT

MIDWAY THROUGH PROJECT

  • Outside the large oak frame balcony has transformed the aesethics. A steel staircase will be going in shortly.
  • Like many seafront houses, all the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs. A new pressurised boiler has been installed in the garage ensuring hot water in all the bathrooms simultaneously.
  • The original staircase will be painted and the treads wrapped in rubber.
  • Upstairs the shape of the room has been squared off and new sliding doors fitted.
  • The space has been reconfigured slightly and has lighting that now flows round the space.
  • A gallery kitchen by Howdens Joinery is taking shape.
  • Great location and access to the beach.
  • The flat roof is being felted and weather proofed today.
