This project is close to our hearts as it was the very project we embarked upon after we moved back from Australia. In 2012 we worked on phase 1 which involved a rejig of the layout downstairs, plus doors opening out to a patio area.
Overview
Now it is 2020, and we are all in an era of working from home, we are onto phase 2 of the house which involves:
Garden Room
- freestanding office in the garden
- clad in dark grey cederal weatherboard
- vertical larch strips on the front
- bifold doors and inside
- electric heaters inside
- next to the garden room will be a shed built into the triangular shaped plot and this will store surfboard
Inside the house
- replace the stair treds with oak
- replace the spindles with oak
- oak on the landing floor
- oak doors throughout
- change the layout of the upstairs rooms
- re-fit two bathrooms
- add in high speed data cables with new sockets
