The History

Inside Out is a company that has evolved from Australian outdoor living, now making it work for the British climate. It is owned by Ian Whittaker.

Ian lived in Perth, Australia for five years where he built his five bedroom family home with swimming pool and outdoor area and where he also ran a successful business creating lifestyle areas/alfresco dining areas/swimming pools and outdoor kitchens.

Ian moved back to Britain in 2010 and decided to set up a business here to give English people a better way of living using the same principles as Australia but with the aids of a little heating, the use of Bi-fold doors or pull down blinds enabling you to use these areas all year round without being beaten by the British weather. Ian is also a very keen wind-surfer, in 1997 he was British amateur wave sailing champion and will enjoy taking to the water at his new home in the Witterings. Ian also offers all types of building services including whole house renovation, kitchen and bathroom refits, garden design, and also his trade mark inside-out living spaces.
